Let us consider a discrete distributed system given by the difference equation

Þ is a disturbance which excites the system. We assume that the system is augmented with the output function y x i ¼ Cx x i ; 8iX0. Let e be a tolerance index, we say that a disturbance x is e-admissible if jjy x i @y i jjpe; 8iX0, where ðy i Þ iX0 is the output signal associated to the uninfected system. The set of all e-admissible disturbances is the admissible set DðeÞ. The characterization of DðeÞ is investigated and numerical simulations are given. The case of discrete delayed systems is also considered.
