Direct picosecond time resolution of dissipative IVR is reported for the first time. For jet-cooled anthracene with Eeb = 1791 cm -*_ rhc urm%-zxed fluorescence displays ;t fast decay of ==75 ps_ while the reLaxed fluorescence displays a corrc spondin!: rise.
