β¦ Synopsis
Direct selective conversion of methane to C2-hydrocarbons, methanol or aromatics represents a formidable challenge to catalysis. This has become more and more evident over the last decades of intensive research and no breakthrough technology has so far been developed. A large number of approaches based on catalysis and reaction engineering has been proposed and the present contribution focuses on some of these approaches.

The production of methanol followed by processing of methanol over ZSM-5 is an efficient and flexible route for production of synthetic hydrocarbons from either coal, natural gas, or biomass. Depending on process conditions, products can be produced ranging from ethylene to gasoline to distillate fu
## Abstract Agriculture has changed greatly in the past in response to changing human needs. Now agriculture is being called on to provide raw materials for very largeβscale fuel and chemical production. Agriculture will change again in response to this demand and all producers and users of agricul
