An edge-pumping scheme for a quasi-three-level solid-state laser using asymmetric crystal is reported. The scheme uses a thin disk laser configuration with the pump light incident from disk edges. The pump light propagates through the disk along the zigzag path and repeatedly passes the gain medium,

โฆ Synopsis
We report for the first time a continuous wave Yb0.06:Y0.32Gd0.62VO4 (Yb:YGdVO4) laser, based on the 2 F 5/2 -2 F 7/2 transition. The free running Yb:YGdVO 4 thindisk laser oscillation takes place at many different wavelengths, covering a wide range of 1037.

We report for the first time a Nd:GdVO 4 laser operating in a continuous wave (CW) on the quasi-three-level laser at 893 nm, based on the 4 F 3/2 -4 I 9/2 transition, generally used for a 912 nm emission. The use of a pump module with 16 passes through the crystal allowed the realization of a Nd:GdV
We demonstrated a Kerr-lens self-mode-locked Yb:(Lu0.5Y0.5)2SiO5 (Yb:LYSO) laser for the first time, which was independent of active or passive modulators as well as hard diaphragm inside cavity. An output power of 3.08 W with a repetition rate of 99 MHz was obtained using a pump power of 16.48 W. T
We present for the first time, to the best of our knowledge, a Yb:YAG laser operating in a continuous wave (CW) on the quasi-three-level laser at 1024 nm, based on the 2 F 5/2 -2 F 7/2 transition, generally used for a 1030 nm emission. The use of a pump module with 16 passes through the crystal allo

The room temperature continuous wave (CW) laser performance of a compact Yb:CaYAlO4 (Yb:CYA) laser with near quantum limit slope efficiency is demonstrated. Pumped with a CW diode operating at 979 nm, the laser emitted a maximum CW output power of 2.3 W at 1050 nm. The corresponding slope efficiency
