The two mid-infrared bands of the CF2&dbondCHF molecule, nu5 centered at 1172.673 cm-1 and nu6 + nu9 at 1155.105 cm-1, were measured on a tunable diode laser spectrometer with a resolution near the Doppler limit. These vibrations of A' species give rise to a/b hybrid bands, even though our analysis

✦ Synopsis
The absorption spectrum of hexafluorobenzene (\left(\mathrm{C}{6} \mathrm{~F}{6}\right)) around (10 \mu \mathrm{m}) has been measured in a pulsed supersonic jet using diode lasers. In the jet spectra the most intense room temperature features at 1000 and (1022 \mathrm{~cm}^{-1}) are rotationally resolved. They arise from two perpendicular bands, one of which ( (1022 \mathrm{~cm}^{-1}) ) is predominantly the (v_{13} \mathrm{C}-\mathrm{F}) stretching fundamental, while the other is a combination band of the same (e_{i 4}) symmetry in Fermi resonance with it. The upper state of the (1022 \mathrm{~cm}^{-1}) band is also perturbed and this perturbation has been analyzed in terms of a local (R_{z})-Coriolis interaction. Two other weak bands at 1002 and (1012 \mathrm{~cm}^{-1}) have also been observed. A set of effective parameters for these bands have been derived. The origins of the main bands are (999.28729(6)) and (1022.28442(6) \mathrm{cm}^{-1}). co 1994 Academic Press. Inc.

The n 5 (A 2u ) and n 7 (E u ) C-F stretching fundamentals of hexafluoroethane, C 2 F 6 , have been recorded in a supersonic jet by diode laser absorption spectroscopy. The parallel 5 1 o band is accompanied by five satellite bands, of which three have been assigned to hot bands. A fourth satellite
Using a stabilized diode-laser spectrometer, we have studied the line profiles of water vapor near 7185.59 cm -1 . With low pressures of pure gas (≤1 Torr) in a White-type cell, we have deduced the line intensities using the Voigt profile. This study shows clear differences between experimental and
