Metallacyclic metallocene complexes of titanium, zirconium and hafnium can be prepared by hydrogen elimination processes of suitable substituents such as -phenylalkyl or -alkenyl at the aromatic ligands. In some cases, the intermediates containing agostic hydride ligands can be isolated and characte
