## Abstract This paper describes a highly efficient class‐E power amplifier. The design has been carried out at 1 GHz using a LDMOS transistor with 10 W of peak envelope power (PEP). Drain efficiency of 76.1%, power‐added efficiency (PAE) of 73.6%, and gain of 14.8 dB are achieved at an output powe

Abstract
This novel digitally defined transmitter without digital‐to‐analog converters is based on Class E amplifiers' ability to transform a digital input signal into an analog RF output signal. The validity of the system is proven by successful demodulation of a QPSK signal generated by the transmitter from a pulse‐position‐modulation input signal. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract In this article, we report the linearity improvement of the GaN HEMT class‐E Doherty power amplifier (CEDA). For the linearity improvement, not only the gate biases but also the matching circuits of the carrier and peaking cells are optimally controlled at a pout of 38 dBm, which is a 7
