✦ Synopsis


The diffusion coefEcients of AgO have been measured in molten mixtums of NaNO, and KNO, with varying molar ratios, by a linear diffusion cell of variable path length. The results b are quoted for temFtures below 420% in the form of an empirical equation loga D = --a -f. Diffusion coe5cients are not a function of the concentration of the silver ion if its mole fraction is below 0.001. The viscosities of these melts have aIs been measured.
