✦ Synopsis

A linear magnetic field gradient superimposed on the main static field was used to study onedimensional diffusion of perchlorotriphenylmethyl radicals in decalin and of oxygen molecules in polytetrafhxoroethylene.

A simple method is developed for deducing diffusion coefficients from both time-dependent and single-scan experiments provided that the natural linewidth is small relative to the field change ovtr the diffusion distance_

## Abstract The decay of free radicals in irradiated PMMA subjected to high pressures has been studied by the method of ESR. The rate constants and activation energies has been determined for the decay of free radicals at the pressures of 5000 and 10,000 atm over the temperature range of 100–170Β°C.

The presence and behaviour of free radicals in the composite lignin/polypropylene films upon heating were studied by electron spin resonance spectroscopy. The variations of free radical concentration with the proportion of lignin in the composites indicate the radical character of the interaction be
