Synopsis
The rate of diffusion of antimony in copper single crystals has been measured over the temperature range 600'1OOO'C by means of a sectioning technique employing the Sblz4 radio-isotope as tracer. The diffusion activation eneigy and frequency factor were found to be 42000 & 700 cal mole-l and 0.34 5 0.12 cm2 see-l. This result is compared with existing data on the diffusion of impurity atoms in copper.
DIFFUSION
