Dear Sir

Differentiation of Diastereomeric Aminotetralins by Metastable Ion Spectra of 2-Oxazolidinone Derivatives Upon Electronimpact Ionization 1,2,3,4-tetrahydronaphthalene (CHF 1255, internal code) is a new compound' under investigation for the treatment of heart failure. It presents three chiral OCH, 189 1 P l centres and it could theoretically exist as a mixture of four pairs of racemates.

Mass-analysed ion kinetic energy spectrometry (MIKES) with collision-induced dissociation (CID) has been used to study the fragmentation processes of a series of deuterated 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene (TNT) and deuterated 2,4,6trinitrobenzylchloride (TNTCI) derivatives. Typical fragment ions observed in b
