Ausgehend von den physikalisch bedingten Mangeln, die den Anwendungsbereich der rontgenographischen Texturuntersuchung beschranken, werden die spezifischen Vorteile der Neutronenbeugungsmethode dargelegt. Diese sind gegehen durch die geringe Absorption der Neutronen in den meisten Werkstoffen. Einige neutronographische Untersuchungsheispiele sollen die diskutierten Vorteile belegen, insbesondere den Aussagegehalt und die hohe Genauigkeit quarititativ ermittelter vollstiindiger Polfiguren.
Proceeding from physically stipulated deficiencies, which are 1imit)ing the application of the X-ray texture investigations, the specific advantages of the neutronographic diffraction method shall be discussed. They come about by the low absorption of the neutrons in the most of materials. Some examples of neutronographic investigations shall demonstrate the discussed advantages, especially the content of informations and the high accuracy of quantitat,ive measured complete pole figures.
