The structure involves deformed octahedral layers of CuOHC1, parallel to the (001) plane. Each Cu atom is surrounded nearly quadratically by three OH at a distance of 2,Ol and by one C1 at 2,30 8, and by two other C1 atoms at 2,71 A, completing a deformed coordination octahedron. The layers are connected by weak OH-C1 bonds of 3,218.
