β¦ Synopsis
The title compounds were obtained from reactions of the phosphoraneiminato complex [ZnBr(NPMe 3 )] 4 with excess Grignard reagents RMgBr (R = C 6 H 5 , 2,4,6-(CH 3 ) 3 Β± C 6 H 2 ) in THF solution. According to X-ray structure determinations the [ZnR 3 ] Β± ions contain zinc atoms which are co-ordinated in a planar fashion with ZnΒ±C distances of 200.7 pm (R = Ph) and 203.4 pm (R = Mes) in average.
