The Manufacture of Gelatine-Capsules

The author describes three different semi and full automatic processes for the manufacture of gelatine capsules, their colouring, aromatisation and testing etc. The possible fields of their application are numerated as well.

Gelatinekapseln gehoren zu den altesten Arzneiformen. Im Jahre 1833 tauchte der Pariser Apotheker Mothes kleine mit Quecksilber gefiillte Ledersackchen in eine warme Gelatinelosung. Nach dem Erkalten der Haut streifte er die so erhaltenen Hiillen ab und fiillte
