✦ Synopsis
In the title complex, [CoCl 2 (C 5 H 5 NO) 4 ], the Co atom is in an elongated octahedral environment, de®ned by two Cl À ions and four N atoms of 3-hydroxypyridine ligands. The Co atom lies on a special position with crystallographic twofold rotation symmetry. Individual molecules are linked by intermolecular OÐHÁ Á ÁCl hydrogen bonds into a layer structure.
