Reaction of indium(III) chloride with (__E__)-1-[1-(2-pyridyl)ethylidene]thiosemicarbazide afforded the title complex, [In(C~8~H~9~N~4~S)Cl~2~(C~2~H~5~OH)]. The ligand is in the enol form coordinating to the In^III^ atom through one S atom and two N atoms. The In^III^ atom is further coordinated by

The title organometallic complex, trans-[Rh(C 12 H 8 NO)-Cl 2 (C 12 H 9 NO)], which was obtained from the reaction of rhodium(III) chloride and 2-benzoylpyridine, features an Rh III atom coordinated by two N, one O, one C and two Cl atoms in a distorted octahedral environment.
