In the title compound, [Sn(C~4~H~9~)~2~(C~7~H~3~N~2~O~6~)~2~]·C~7~H~8~, the Sn^IV^ atom is in a distorted tetrahedral environment. The nitro groups are twisted slightly away from the planes of the attached benzene rings. The molecules are linked by intermolecular C—H...O interactions and short O...N contacts, forming sheet-like structures paralled to the ab plane, and are cross-linked by π–π interactions.
