## Abstract ## Purpose The aims of this retrospective study were to determine the accuracy and safety of sonographically guided fineโneedle aspiration biopsy (FNAB) in evaluating enlarged adrenal glands in patients with lung cancer and to correlate the metastatic involvement of the adrenal glands

Abstract
Endoscopic sonography is a wellโestablished tool for the diagnosis and staging of gastrointestinal malignancies. It has been found to be of increasing utility in the diagnosis and management of lung cancers. We report a case of recurrent lung cancer presenting 4 years after initial diagnosis and treatment, in which endoscopic sonography was used to guide the fineโneedle aspiration biopsy. ยฉ 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract ## Background. To retrospectively compare the accuracies of ultrasoundโguided fineโneedle aspiration (USFNA) and ultrasoundโguided core needle biopsy (USCNB) in the diagnosis of parotid masses. ## Methods. A total of 171 patients (aged 17โ86 years, mean 54 years) with parotid masses
Fine needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB) performed for diffuse and nodular goiter in the past 5 years, was evaluated in 1399 cases. Surgery was performed on the basis of FNAB cytologic diagnosis that was positive or suggestive of malignancy and/or a suggestive clinical history. Surgery also was performe
## BACKGROUND. The authors attempted to determine the utility of percutaneous core needle biopsy (PCNB) compared with fine-needle aspiration (FNA) in the diagnosis of peripheral lung carcinoma. ## METHODS. A retrospective review was undertaken of 156 computed tomography (CT)-guided PCNBs and FN
Lymphangiomas are uncommon in the posterior mediastinum. We report a case of a lymphangioma in this location that was diagnosed by computed tomographic-guided fine-needle aspiration biopsy. The cell block of the lesion closely simulated a normal structure immediately adjacent to the target and could
