โœฆ Synopsis

New polymerization techniques were applied in the production of PIC. In the first experiment, the polymerization was carried out in liquid medium, water or oil, containing active additives. In the second one, an addition of ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDM) was applied in production of PIC by impregnation with methyl methacrylate. In both cases a high polymerization yields were achieved. Typical properties of the PIC obtained were investigated. The morphology of the PIC obtained with EGDM was characterized on the basis of electron micrographs.
