## Abstract Proliferative activities of gonadal somatic cells were examined autoradiographically during gonadal development in __Rana nigromaculata__. Both the germinal epithelium and the sexual cord appeared to be of coelomic epithelial origin, as indicated ultrastructurally by the observation tha
