A simple, rapid, and sensitive method for the measurement of DNA, RNA, and protein synthesis in cell samples is presented. Tke method measures the amount of isotope incorporated into these macromolecules after cell collection on filter paper and washing with a methanol:chloroform:water mixture. Samp
