β¦ Synopsis
A new type of microstrip patch antenna is designed and developed to be used in ground-penetrating radar (GPR) applications. The developed antenna is an E-shaped rectangular patch, with additional co-planar microstrip resonators and a slotted ground plane. The measurements show that this antenna provides impedance bandwidths greater than 15% using low-cost FR4 substrate. A dielectric cover makes this antenna easily and effectively applicable to difficult GPR applications.

## Abstract In this article, a new design for singleβlayer rectangular microstrip patch antenna has been proposed. This design uses a ground plane with a single slot. It has been shown that by using this slotted ground plane, the resonant frequency has been lowered considerably, thus, reducing the s
## Abstract A method for the computation of radiation patterns of microstrip antennas on a finite ground plane is presented. The method is based on the geometrical theory of diffraction and the 2D physical optics model. The diffraction of space waves and surface waves is taken into consideration. Β©
## Abstract In this article, a new compact defected ground structure (DGS) low pass filter (LPF) with wide rejection band, low insertion loss in the stopband, and sharp transition from passband to stopband is proposed__.__ The prototype LPF is composed of three repetitive DGS elements with open stu
