โœฆ Synopsis

I n a previous publication, Olsen and Marsden ('53) reported that of the 934 infertile turkey eggs laid 57 to 215 days following removal of the males, 156 or 16.7% showed a delayed and abnormal type of embryonic development upon being incubated. Although the possibility of parthenogenesis mas considered, the turkey females producing these eggs had at one time come in contact with sexually mature males. This fact made it impossible to rule out definitely aged sperm as being involved in such development of so-called infertile eggs.
