The deuteron quadrupole coupling constant and asymmetry parameter of the OD-ion in LiOD -DzO are 267.7 kc/s and 0.044 at 273OK and 271.5 and 0.043 at 77O. compared to a theoretical estimate of 421.kc/s for the free ion from recent LCAO-MO-SCF wave-functions. We have recently observed deuteron magnet
