The content of C,& aromatics
in Iraqi natural gasoline and a benzene-free hexane fraction was determined quantitatively by gas-liquid chromatography using a 3 m column packed with 30% 1,2,3-tris(2cyanoethoxy) propane on Diatomite S at 140°C. The method employed gave more accurate results than standard methods for the samples used, as a result of the separation of the benzene peak after n-tridecane.
