The integral total collision cross section for tie H 2 has been measured with an absolute accuracy of -+ 1% to -+4% between 0.14 meV and 2.9 eV. The data have been fitted by a spherical symmetric multiparameter Morse-splinedispersion potential, which agrees well with results of ab initio calculation
Measurements made on H2S in the energy range 1.3-70 eV give total electron-scattering cross sections which exhiiit two distinct features: a shoulder at about 2.3 eV and a very broad hump centered at 9 eV with a maximum value of 40 X 10m20 m2.
