✦ Synopsis
The huninol-H,O,-metal ion system has been widely used in chemical and biological analysis. A method is described for the determination of promethazine based on its inhibition of the intensity of chemiluminescence from the luminol system. The method is sensitive, convenient and simple with a detection limit of 3 x lOA M. The R.S.D. at 1 X 10m5 M promethazine is 1.3% (ten replicates). The method was applied successfully to the analysis of various commercially available dosage forms containing promethazine. The results obtained for the assay of commercial preparations compared well with those obtained by the offkial method and showed good accuracy and precision.

## Abstract Based on the inhibition effect of rutin on the luminol–hydrogen peroxide chemiluminescence (CL) system catalyzed by tetrasulfonated colbalt phthalocyanine (CoTSPc), a sensitive flow‐injection CL method has been developed for the determination of rutin. The CL reaction mechanism was care
Hydrogen peroxide amplifies the chemiluminescence in the odixation of luminol by sodium hypochlorite. A linear relationship between concentration of hydrogen peroxide and light intensity was found in the concentration range 5 x 10-\*-7.5 x mol/l. At 7.5 x l o -' mol/l H,Oz the chemiluminescence is a
A flow injection procedure for the indirect chemiluminescent determination of isoniazid is proposed. The method is performed in a flow-injection manifold provided with a solid-phase reactor. The reactor was made from manganese dioxide physically entrapped by polymerization; the redox reaction isonia
