✦ Synopsis
The determmatlon of the organochlorme pestlcldes dleldrm, heptachlor, cy-endosulfan, P-endosulfan and endosulfan sulphate and theu mixtures m spiked apple samples was camed out m o&water emulsions formed with ethyl acetate and a mtiure of Hyamme 2389 and Trlton X-405 Extraction of the pestlcldes from the apples was accomphshed usmg n-hexane Clean-up of the extract and fractionation was carried out with a Florlsd column, usmg n-hexane and n-hexane-ethyl acetate (20 1) as eluents The recovenes for each pesticide mdlvldually were about 90% for heptachlor, endosulfan sulphate and both isomers of endosulfan and about 70% for dleldrm at concentration levels of 0 37, 0 93 and 127 pg g-' of apple for heptachlor, dleldrm and endosulfan sulphate, respectively, and 122 pgg -' for each of the endosulfan isomers Similar results were obtained wth binary and ternary mixtures and with a rmxture containing all the pestlcldes studled, mdlcatmg the vahdlty of the extractlon and separation method developed
