โœฆ Synopsis


The impact energy of a side-grooved precracked three point bend specimen was correlated with fracture toughness K rc by experimental investigation and a formula which was found to be suitable for this kind of specimen was derived using the dimensional analysis method. Two kinds of mild steel were tested to determine the formula and a kind of rapid and inexpensive non-standard testing method of Krc was proposed.
