Abstract
This investigation was undertaken to develop a rapid method of determining small quantities of methyl bromide in gas samples collected during fumigation and airing. The vacuum flask technique adapted to catalytic combustion of the methyl bromide has been used, and two methods of determination of the inorganic bromide formed have been tested. The KolthoffβYutzy method is suitable but lengthy. A quicker electrometric method has been evolved.
