## Abstract The distribution of end‐to‐end distances in liquid short‐chain molecules has been studied by means of X‐ray diffraction. Solutions in n‐decane of Ξ±,ω‐diiodo‐n‐alkanes have been investigated. The distribution of intramolecular I‐I distances in these compounds was obtained by comparing t
