Abstract
A method for the measurement of dichloroacetic acid in plasma or urine has been developed. The method involves extraction of dichloroacetic acid into diethyl ether, evaporation of the etheric phase to a small volume and derivatization with diazomethane. Trichloroacetic acid was used as an internal standard. Concentrations as low as 50 ng/ml can be determined.
