Flow injection analysis (F1A)/chemiluminescence detection has been used to the determination of Al(III), Zn(II), Cd(II), and In(III). Fluorescent compound which was formed by complexation of a metal ion and 8-hydroxyquinoline was excited by the chemiluminescence reaction of bis(2,4,6trichlorophenyl)

β¦ Synopsis
An ion-selective field-effect transistor (ISFET) is chemically modified with a photopolymerizable and cyanopropyl modified polysiloxane containing N,N,N',N'-tetrabutyl-3,6-dioxaoctane-dithioamide as Cd'+ ionophore. This CHEMFET has a Nernstian response (30 mV/decade) to a change of cadmium activity in aqueous solutions. Selectivity coefficients of the CHEMFET towards potassium, calcium, copper, and lead are given. Preliminary results of the CHEMFET in a flow injection analysis cell without wire bonding and polymeric encapsulation are presented.

An optical chemical sensor (optode) is described in which the calorimetric reagent 1-(2'-pyridylazo)-2-naphthol (PAN) is immobilized in a Nafion@ membrane. The membrane, which is homogeneous, transparent and mechanically strong, changes color rapidly in the presence of one of several metal ions (Ni(
A windowless flow cell for detection by surface-enhanced Raman spectrometry (SERS) in two flow systems, flow-injection analysis and liquid ckomatography (LC), has been developed. Several experimental parameters including flow-rates of silver colloid suspension and mobile phase, photon-counting integ
A flow injection configuration is proposed for the speciation and determination of thallium(I) and thallium(III) in aqueous media by spectrofluorimetric detection. Thallium(I) can be determined by measuring its fluorescence as TlCl 3 2Οͺ . Thallium(III) also is determined after the rapid reduction of
