โœฆ Synopsis

The IR spectrum of the transient species HBO was observed in the gas phase using a discharge modulation method. The HBO molecule is formed in an ac discharge plasma of a BzH6/02 or BzHe/NO mixture. The vJ band origin and the rotational constants of H"B0 were determined to be uo = 1825.5610 cm -l, BO = 1.30839 cm-', and B3 = 1.29973 cm-'.

Infrared diode laser spectroscopy was applied to the detection of CF2 carbene produced by C02-laser-induced dissociation of CHCIF2. Time-resolved spectra of CF2 in several rotation-vibration states were observed. The initial concentration of CF2 was estimated to be 5x IO" molecules cm-' from an anal
