โœฆ Synopsis

Controller design for relay-controlled, linear time-varying plants will be studied in this paper, with the main objective that the plant's steady-state output tPR will track the desired reference signal and all the deterministic disturbances and initial conditions at the plant's output will asymptotically die away to zero. Analysis and design of a linear time-varying controller, preceded by a relay and followed by a linear time-varying plant in the feedforward path, will be studied. Examples, as we proceed along, will, most vividly, give their support to the obtained theoretical results. The obtained results show that the proposed control scheme provides good dynamic behaviour, even if the plant parameters vary in a relatively broad range.

Linear time-varying singular systems E(r)i = A(t)x + B(t)u are treated. A necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of linear state feedback to eliminate impulsive behavior is derived. The condition obtained is a natural extension of existing time-invariant theory.

A simple linear adaptive controller based on a reduced-order observer is proposed to treat the trajectory tracking control problem of robotic systems with unknown parameters and external disturbances. The novelty of our result lies in the fact that the controller is a linear time-varying dynamic pos

The bounded-input bounded-output stability of feedback control systems with time-varying gain is studied, and both continuous and sampled-data feedback systems are considered. It is shown that if the total gain deviation from a constant is finite, and if the feedback system with that constant gain i
