✦ Synopsis
New dual-mode bandpass waveguide elliptic filters with the added advantage of easy fabrication by milling are introduced. The filters have an in-line configuration in which the dual-mode cavities are kept homogeneous with no intracavity coupling elements. Coupling between adjacent cavities is implemented by rectangular irises, which are placed at the center top of the cross section. The structure can be fabricated as a single piece which is completed by a metallic cover plate. Example filters are designed to show the performance of this class of dual-mode filters. V

## Abstract In this article, we propose a dual‐mode bandpass filter (BPF) at 1.575 GHz using periodic meander slotted ground structures (M‐SGSs) which are etched on the ground plane for spurious suppression. First, single M‐SGS is analyzed. Second, the M‐SGSs are used to provide a good stopband‐rej
## Abstract In this article, a millimeter‐wave ultra‐wideband (UWB) bandpass filter is proposed and implemented by cascading two dual‐mode square ring resonators loaded with λ~0~/4 and 3λ~0~/4 open tuning stubs, aiming at transmitting the signals in the UWB passband of 22–29 GHz. Formulae based on
## Abstract In this paper, new design concept of nonorthogonal input and output (I/O) ports applied to optimize dual‐mode bandpass ring filter is proposed. Compared to conventional dual‐mode filters, the proposed filter with nonorthogonal I/O could not only support two degenerate modes operation, b
## Abstract Phase sampling and phase shift techniques are introduced in a uniform fiber Bragg grating structure to achieve a multi‐bandpass filter with ultranarrow transmission bandwidth. A pair of dual‐bandpass transmission windows are opened at 1542.32, 1542.36, and 1542.66, 1542.71 nm, respectiv
