In this paper, we propose a frequency-notched ultrawideband (UWB) slot antenna. The proposed antenna can cover the entire UWB band and the IEEE 802.11a frequency band can be notched out by inserting a hat-shaped slot into the antenna. The path loss ͉S 21 ͉ and group delay are measured and discussed.

## Abstract A compact printed ultra‐wideband (UWB) elliptical‐slot antenna with 5.2 GHz/5.8 GHz band‐notched characteristic is presented. A complementary split ring resonator (CSRR) is etched inside the inner patch to obtain band‐notched function. The proposed antenna is a uniplanar structure and o
## Abstract In this article, a new frequency notched ultra‐wideband microstrip slot antenna with an S‐shaped slot in the radiating stub and a pair of C‐shaped slots in the ground structure is proposed and experimentally studied. To increase the bandwidth, a pair of C‐shaped slots was cut in the gro
## Abstract In this paper, we propose a small, lightweight, and low‐cost ultra‐wideband (UWB) antenna that exhibits a notch characteristic in the 5‐GHz WLAN band (5.15–5.825 GHz) using a planar half‐circle shape patch, a two‐step matching stub, a coplanar waveguide (CPW)‐type feed, and a hat‐shaped
## Abstract The design and performance of a stepped slot printed monopole antenna in the ultrawideband is presented in this article. Multiple resonances generated by the stepped slot geometry are matched in the ultrawideband using a modified microstrip feed. The impedance bandwidth (SWR < 2) of the
