## Abstract This article presents the design and radiation characteristics of a dual‐mode corrugated matched feed horn. This type of feed eliminates the unwanted high cross‐polarization of an offset parabolic reflector antenna and improves the overall performance of the antenna sub‐system. In a cyl

✦ Synopsis
A synthesis method based on geometrical optics to design a dual-reflector antenna system with maximum power transfer efficiency is presented. The system has nonunifon phase and amplitude distributions on the aperture. In our design, the effect of aperture blocking is also considered.

## Abstract A novel dual band‐notched monopole ultra‐wideband antenna is proposed, in which the parasitic strip creates one band‐notch at 5.5 GHz and the tuning stub produces another band‐notch at 3.5 GHz. The experimental results show that the proposed antenna, with a compact size of 20 __×__ 31.5
