โœฆ Synopsis

In many engineering control problems, the output measurements are discrete-time ones.

In this paper, we show how we can design an observer synthesis for continuous-time al&e systems using discrete time output measurements. In fact, we give sufficient conditions on both output sampling time and system input, which allow us to preserve the observability of the system and to design an exponential observer.

Design of observers and observer-hased controllers for linear, discrete control systems with fast and slow modes are considered in this paper. This paper is concerned with the solution of the population balance for continuous systems at steady state, in which the active mechanisms are nucleation, growth. and aggregation. A discretized population balance, initially proposed by Hounslow et al. (1988a) for batch systems, is adapted for use wi
