IV. CONCLUSIONS

In this paper, nonlinear bistability has been successfully simulated with the FDTD method. A recursive formulation is developed to model the saturable Kerr effect of a GaAs᎐GaAlAs MQW-like medium. The preliminary results demonstrate the effectiveness of the technique presented in this paper, and thus lay the foundations for future computation and design for all-optical nonlinear devices.
