β¦ Synopsis
This article describes the procedures for rapidly estimating the approximate manufacturing cost of a molded part through the utilization of a computer program developed specifically for this task. The estimated cost includes the costs of material, mold, and processing. The procedures involve identifying those manufacturing-related features or design attributes that tend to significantly increase manufacturing costs so that costly features can be avoided. The procedures developed are not dependent on the creation of a geometric model, and can be used to assess quantitatively a preliminary concept sketch. A case example is presented to illustrate the application of the costestimating procedures developed.

Presented in this paper is a frequency-based controller design methodology for a class of nonlinear systems that can be characterized by a class of Hammerstein models. Most cases of malformed ears in neonates can be treated by mounting a suitably shaped orthosis. Our objective was to develop a computer-assisted orthosis design and manufacturing system for the treatment of malformed ears. Also, we aimed to manufacture a first experimental orthosis made of nitinol s
## Abstract In this article a set of requirements for the design of a personal document management system is presented, based on the results of three research studies (Bondarenko, 2006; Bondarenko & Janssen, 2005; Bondarenko & Janssen, 2009). We propose a framework, based on layers of task decompos
