✦ Synopsis

Abstract

In this article, a novel multilayer second‐order coupled‐resonator bandpass filter with harmonics suppression is proposed to improve the stopband characteristics. The proposed filter has been implemented in a five‐layer configuration using multilayer PCB technology. The measured results agree very well with the full‐wave EM simulation, showing more than 35 dB harmonics suppression. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract A novel compact open‐loop resonator bandpass filter is proposed to suppress the spurious passband using a compensated spiral compact microstrip resonant cell (C‐SCMRC). Due to the inherently compact and stopband characteristics of the C‐SCMRC, the proposed filters shows a better spuriou
