## Abstract In this paper, the all‐optical exclusive OR gate using an integrated SOA‐based Mach–Zehnder interferometer with a differential modulation scheme is proved to exceed the operation speed limit effectively through numerical analysis for the first time. The control‐signal pulse parameters a
