## Abstract Peroxisome proliferatorโactivated receptorโฮฑ (PPARฮฑ) is a member of the steroid hormone receptor superfamily. In rodents, PPARฮฑ alters genes involved in cell cycle regulation in hepatocytes. Some of these genes are implicated in neuronal cell death. Therefore, in this study, we examined
