With hqwd \_wlutlons of the aromstlc ketones anthraqumone and 'lamhone, a P-type delayed fluorescence from upper ewited smglet states, resultmg from tnplet-tnplet annihdation, has been obsened. Some peculurltles of the triplet-triplet annihilation of aromatlc ketones are dacussed.

โฆ Synopsis
With 1,2-benzanthracene and fluoranthene population of higher excited singlet states S,, (n > 1) by triplet-triple1 annihilation is energetically possible. With both compounds a delayed fluorescence Sn + So from the highest accessible singlet state St1 was found (n = 3 for 1,2-benzanthracene and n = 4 for fluoranthene).
