## Abstract Methacrylates (=2‐methylpropenoates) **5** with (__E__)‐stilbene (=(__E__)‐1,2‐diphenylethene) building blocks on tethers of variable length were prepared (__Scheme 2__) and polymerized (__i.e.__, **5**→**6**; __Scheme 3__) in the presence of AIBN (=2,2′‐azobis(2‐methylpropanenitrile).

Cinnamoyloxymethyl dimethyl vinyl silane was synthesized and bound to a series of commercial polydimethylsiloxanetype copolymers bearing variable amounts of Si-H functions through a hydrosilylation reaction. This reaction was controlled in order to avoid side reactions between the photosensitive uns
