The defect structures in Co-rich L&-type Co,Ti intermetallic compound have been investigated by measuring the lattice parameter, density and long-range order parameter. With decreasing Ti content from stoichiometric composition, the lattice parameter and long-range order parameter decreased while the density increased, respectively. These observations reveals that in the Co-rich region of Co,Ti compound excess Co Atoms substitute the sites of Ti atoms and consequently the substitution defect (solutioning defect) with lowered long-range order parameter is proposed.

-Nous avons etudii les structures des dtfauts dans le compose intennttallique Co,Ti de type Ll, riche en cobalt en mesurant le paramttre reticulaire, la densitl et le paramitre d'ordre a longue distance. Lorsqu'on diminue la teneur en titane a partir de la composition stoechiomttrique, le parametre reticulaire et le paramitre d'ordre d longue distance decroissent, alors que la densitt croit. Ces observations montrent que dans le compose Co,Ti riche en cobalt, les atomes de Co en exces se substituent sur les sites des atomes de Ti; nous proposons done un dtfaut substitutionnel qui abaisse le degre d'ordre a longue distance. Zusantmenfassung-In dem Co-reichen intermetallischen Werkstoff Co,Ti vom Typ LI, wurde die Defektstruktur mit Messungen des Gitterparameters, de Dichte und der Femordnung untersucht. Mit abnehmendem Ti-Gehalt, ausgehend von der stiichiometrischen Zusammensetzung, werden der Gitterund der Femordnungsparameter kleiner, wohingegen die Dichte zunimmt. Diese Beobachtungen zeigen, dal3 im Co-reichen Gebiet des Co,Ti die Co-iiberschuBatome die Ti-PI&e einnehmen. Zur Erkliirung dieses Befundes wird ein Substitutionsdefekt mit verringertem Femordnungsparameter vorgeschlagen.
