## Abstract A tunable defect mode with a voltage tuning mechanical is demonstrated. A varactor has been introduced into a 1D comb‐like photonic crystal and a defect mode occurs in the band gap. Frequency of the defect modes are controlled by the reverse bias voltage applied to the varactor. The def
