โฆ Synopsis
The occurrence of the-two squamous cell carcinomas of the nasal cavity in C57BL/KSJ mice after DBN treatment is interesting since to our knowledge, no such tumors have been reported in the literature in any species other than DBNtreated hamsters [6]. The absence of bladder tumors in DBN-treated AKR/J mice may be related to the fact that they died from leukemia before they could develop bladder tumors. It is, however, possible that AKR leukemia virus interfered with or inhibited the early occurrence of bladder tumors in DBN-treated mice of AKR/J strain as compared to those of strains BALB/cJ and C57BL/KSJ.
